It’s Pitch, Free—the free Friday post for Pitch, Please subscribers.
Pitches, I am stressed and have decided to combat this by painting my bathroom the color of khaki. Previously, it was blue. Not just the walls, but the ceiling as well. Picture a bathroom with blue walls and a blue ceiling. *Le cringe*
My other coping mechanism is hopping on a flight to Las Vegas for a friend’s 30th.
Both seem reasonable.
Anywho, what is the magic witch trick that ya’ll pitches use to immediately follow up? No, I mean like immediately. Like the-principal-in-Mean-Girls-pulling-the-fire-alarm-levels-of-IMMEDIATELY.
Today, I opened a pitch, read it, wasn’t interested, deleted it. Got an immediate follow-up—same information, same email. Deleted it. Immediate follow-up. Deleted! It!
Got another immediate follow-up within 30 seconds. DELETED IT.
Gurl, it happened twice (!!!) more for a total of FIVE FOLLOW-UPS IN UNDER FIVE MINUTES. Cue the Marlo Hampton of it all:
Anyway, I’m using this weekend to recoup. Send me your Vegas recs.
Andddddd, here’s your friendly reminder to sign up for the Gift Guide Gold Course.
What Paying Pitches Got This Week
This week, paying pitches got me in all my glory waxing poetic about the importance of voting—plus, a highly-coveted graph or two about Impact Radius and whether it’s worth signing up for.
You can read it here and subscribe here.
Other sh*t the paying pitches got
An ode to the start of gift guide SZN, how to not get left on read, and complicated ~FEELINGS~ about affiliate marketing.
Each paid newsletter includes a lot more content and a lot more of my useless (but kinda fun?) musings—including what I’m working on this week.
Free Tip of the Week~
Be a pick-me pitch, not a PDF pitch.
Do: “I represent TK, TK, and TK. The sales are TK, TK, and TK.”
Don’t: “Please see the attached PDF for our client roster and current sales offerings.”
Other infuriating don’ts: (a real screenshot)
Did you know Pitch, Please has group offers?
That’s right, pitches, we offer group rates for agencies looking to sign up 4+ or more at a time. Does this float your boat? Pitchin’! Sign up below:
