Happy midday Tuesday - AKA the first real day that prime day deals are live. This morning, my child was much less stuffy, but she was wearing a mismatched outfit (a koala shirt and strawberry pants) as she went off to daycare because, you know, dads.
I am sitting at my makeshift desk, which is my dining room table, which has been acting as my prime day prep HQ for the past several days. Right now, it’s peppered with my Starbucks order, highlighters in every color, and a magnolia tree candle (to remind me to romanticize my day job).

Speaking of romanticizing my job – which is something I was inspired to do after reading a really beautiful substack post by The Work Wife – I hope you’ve been enjoying the inclusion of my amateur collages. Making them on Pinterest lately has been a great source of joy and a creative way to destress, especially after long work days. When I’ve spent too much time thinking about words, these pretty images have served as — pardon the cliché — a breath of fresh air.
So, though they might not be the sass that you’ve come to expect out of Pitch, Please, I hope you’re appreciating them all the same.
I’ve said it a lot, but only because it’s true: I’m less sassier IRL 💋
Paid pitches: Did you find yesterday’s breakdown of a typical pre-prime day schedule helpful? If so, please share it with someone else in the PR industry. They might just find it (somewhat) helpful.
Today I have a big ask from you, pitches:
I’m searching for last-minute prime day deals. What kinds of deals qualify? This story will publish 7/11, so pitches must be for products that will be on sale 7/11 and a little beyond. These should be limited time only deals that “won’t last long.”
Of course, deals should have some longevity. Let’s call it until the end of July. If you have a product that will be on sale any time between 7/11 and 7/31, feel free to pitch. (It can be currently on sale, too, as long as it is also marked down during that 7/11 to 7/31 range).
Please shoot me a quick email with the subject line: LAST MINUTE PRIME DAY DEALS JULY 11-31. Please do not respond directly to this newsletter. Direct responses to this newsletter will go unchecked.
If you are submitting any last-minute prime day deals to me via email, please adhere to the following:
Please only submit deals that are 30% off above
Include dates and times deals are going live and will stay live
Please do not send any beauty, nutrition, parenting, or toy content. Unfortunately, I do not cover these angles and requests will go unanswered
I’m particularly interested in last minute deals starring name brands with shopper recognition: Ninja, Shark, Dyson, Bissell, Blink, Ring, Keurig, O-Cedar, Traeger, KitchenAid, Levoit, Yankee Candle, Ego Power+, Ryobi, etc. (just to name a few; please don’t be offended if I didn’t name your brand!)
